I had a dream once where I was standing in an immeasurably large black empty space, a massive salmon (really massive like the size of a football field, maybe bigger) hung in the air overhead as if it were swimming.
I stared and stared at it, finally it paused and looked down at me and in a deep rumbling bass voice that took forever to draw out a single word it said “ONE”.
and I woke up.
I like your salmon, it reminds me of that dream.
I love it that salmon look so mild until they start to make their way up the river and then they get more and more garish and hideous. What a satisfying creature.
