Common (non)sense

Reality is radically polysemic. Much more is given than can be taken in.

The givens of media arrive abstracted from reality. They afford far fewer interpretations. Mediated truth is a shadow of reality.

To form new common sense we must return to reality. Squabbling over incommensurable abstractions only leads to common nonsense.

Note, May 10, 2025 : “Squabbling over incommensurable abstractions only leads to common nonsense.” If only it were common nonsense. Far from it. We are factionalized into conflicting nonsensical belief-systems. Each faction believes its nonsense should be universally accepted as true. The nonsense is noncommon.

Squabbling over incommensurable abstractions only leads to noncommon nonsense.

“Common nonsense” sounds better, though.
